  • Combine sea ice thickness, drift, and snow reference datasets to estimate contributions to the regional freshwater budget of the Southern Ocean
  • Estimate the temporal and regional evolution of the freshwater content of the Southern Ocean from data collected by ARGO float, instrumented marine mammals, moorings, and ships
  • Estimate the residual of the budget from closing the balance between changes in oceanic freshwater content and the redistribution of freshwater through the drift of sea ice and snow
  • Comparison with CMIP6 simulations

WP4200 – Impact Assessment

  • Evaluate scientific impact and product/model compatibility
